Half-Term Giveaway: Terms

1.1 The promoter is WORDREALM LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17356720), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us").

1.2 Questions about this giveaway: hello@wordrealm.co.uk.

2.1 The giveaway is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 or over at the time of entry. Children may not enter; a parent or carer enters.

2.2 It is not open to the promoter's directors or staff, members of their households or immediate families, anyone professionally connected with the giveaway, or accounts we run or control, including test accounts.

2.3 We may ask the winner to confirm they meet these conditions before we give the prize.

3.1 The giveaway runs on the giveaway post on Instagram (@wordrealm.co.uk) and the giveaway post on Facebook (facebook.com/wordrealm.co.uk).

3.2 Instagram: follow @wordrealm.co.uk and comment on the giveaway post with the word WORDS. We ask you to add your child's school year (e.g. "WORDS Year 5"); leaving it out won't disqualify you. You must still be following @wordrealm.co.uk when the winner is drawn.

3.3 Facebook: comment on the giveaway post with your child's school year (e.g. "Year 5").

3.4 Tagging another person and sharing the post are optional. They do not give extra entries or improve your chances.

3.5 Commenting WORDS on Instagram also triggers an automatic message with a link to our free word list. That message is a separate, free extra. It is not part of entering, and an entry is valid whether or not the message arrives.

3.6 Entry is free. No purchase or payment is needed.

4.1 The giveaway opens at 7:00pm on Friday 23 October 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 1 November 2026, UK time (British Summer Time until 25 October, then GMT). Comments posted outside these times are not entries.

5.1 One entry per person, across Instagram and Facebook together, however many comments or accounts you use. Extra comments are ignored, not disqualifying.

5.2 We may disqualify entries from fake, duplicate or automated accounts, entries made by anyone not eligible under clause 2, and comments that are offensive or break Instagram's or Facebook's rules.

5.3 We are not responsible for entries that are not received or not visible to us because of platform problems, technical faults, moderation, deleted comments or private account settings outside our control.

6.1 There is one prize: 12 months of Wordrealm Premium on one Wordrealm parent account, starting on the day we apply it.

6.2 Premium includes over 1,100 words (the full course), mock exams drawing on all of them, Tricky Words and Super Mix revision, a weekly progress email, and more than one child on the account. It does not unlock story worlds, which every child earns with coins.

6.3 Value: £49.99, the price a new family pays today for 12 months of Premium on the Founding Families plan.

6.4 There is no cash alternative. The prize cannot be transferred or sold.

6.5 The winner needs a Wordrealm account (free to create at wordrealm.co.uk). We will apply the prize within 7 days of the winner sending us the email address on that account. It needs no card, does not renew and nothing is charged when it ends. When it ends the account returns to the free plan; nothing the child has earned is taken away.

6.6 If the winner already pays for Wordrealm, we will give 12 months without charge on their existing subscription instead.

6.7 If something outside our reasonable control means we can't provide the prize as described, we may give a prize of equal or greater value.

7.1 After the closing time we will make a numbered list of all valid entries (one per person, from both platforms).

7.2 On Monday 2 November 2026, a director of WORDREALM LIMITED will pick the winner at random from that list using the random.org integer generator (picking a number from 1 to the number of valid entries), with the whole draw screen-recorded so that it can be checked. We will keep the entry list and the recording for 6 months after the draw.

7.3 If the winner is not eligible, does not reply in time (clause 8.2), or turns the prize down, we will draw again from the remaining valid entries in the same way.

8.1 We will contact the winner by Instagram direct message from @wordrealm.co.uk (or, for a Facebook entry, a Messenger message from the Wordrealm Facebook page) on Monday 2 November 2026, and announce the winner in a post on the same day.

8.2 The winner must reply to that message within 7 days (by 11:59pm on Monday 9 November 2026). If they don't, we will draw again under clause 7.3, and the new winner will also have 7 days.

8.3 We will never ask the winner, or anyone else, for card or bank details, a payment, a "delivery fee" or a password. Messages from any other account claiming to be about this giveaway are not from us; please report them.

9.1 We will announce the winner by their Instagram handle (or, for a Facebook entry, their first name and the initial of their surname) and their county.

9.2 Under the CAP Code, anyone who asks can have the winner's name and county. If the winner objects to this being published or shared, they can tell us, and we will limit what we share, although we may still have to give it to the Advertising Standards Authority if asked.

10.1 We use entrants' names, handles and comments only to run this giveaway: checking eligibility, picking and contacting the winner, delivering the prize and answering any complaint. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in running a promotion people chose to enter.

10.2 Entering does not sign you up to emails or anything else. You only get Wordrealm emails if you separately ask for the word list and tick the box, or open an account.

10.3 We will keep entry details for 6 months after the draw, then delete them, except the winner's details, which we keep as part of their Wordrealm account.

10.4 Our privacy policy explains the rest.

11.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. By entering, you release Instagram, Facebook and Meta from any liability connected with it.

12.1 We may change or cancel the giveaway only if something outside our reasonable control makes it unavoidable, and we will tell entrants on the giveaway posts if we do.

12.2 Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights.

12.3 By entering you accept these terms.

12.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their own courts.
